WebJun 25, 2015 · The nut that came on my new 69 was bad in a couple slots and couldn't be fixed properly so I bought a couple of "official Line 6 graphtec replacement nut parts for the JTV69" from Full Compass. I agree with bone but a real graphite nut dose not deaden tone ,it's brighter, a lot of so called graphite nuts are actually just soft black plastic and they do sound.

To do it properly you need a good tuner with +/- 1 cent of accuracy. The standard procedure is to set the action and neck relief first and then intonate the nut , just like what you do with a adjustable bridge .
