WebAs mentioned before they do own gear wrench and quite a few other taiwanese and chinese made brands, but they also own Armstrong tools and a few other companies that manufacture tools in the u.s. If you ever shop the Craftsman "industrial" line of tools they are all still made here. WebCraftsman was a solid choice for hand tools many years ago. They are not what they used to be. I have been buying Tekton tools and really like them. Craftsman power tools seem like an afterthought compared to their hand tools, in that price range I would go for Ryobi or Hercules instead. poi iii
